This song was written in response to what we were seeing all around the world.

It became clear many people are walking through real spiritual battles whether it’s fear, anxiety, or lies often going unspoken. In this, we were reminded our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual darkness. Spiritual warfare is not distant or abstract, it is present and personal.

We felt a burden to write a song reminding people our victory is already secured in Jesus, and we are called to live and declare this truth. WAR was born out of Ephesians 6 as an anthem over our lives.

From the beginning, our desire was not to create something heavy, but something awakening.
A song lifting perspective and calling people back to what is true. Many of the battles we face begin in the mind, and we believe worship is a powerful way to realign our thoughts with God’s truth. This song was written to serve the Church in this way as a declaration of faith and a reminder of identity.
As the song developed, themes of armor, strength, and victory began to shape the lyrics, but at the center of it all is Jesus. He is the foundation of our confidence and the source of our strength. This is not a song about striving, but about standing in what has already been accomplished through Him.
